The Hanoverian,

One of the most successful, numerous and oldest of the warmbloods, the Hanoverian was developed in Germany beginning in 1735. The Hanoverian is known for a wonderful temperament as well as it's beauty, grace and athleticism. It has accomplished itself in the fields of dressage, eventing and show jumping.
Hanoverians are often seen in the Olympic Games and other difficult English style competitions, and have won gold medals in all three equestrian Olympic competitions. Originally a carriage horse, infusions of Thoroughbred blood lightened it to make it more agile and useful for competition. The Hanoverian is known for its wonderful temperament, athleticism, beauty, and grace.
